The world has fast grown into the tech space that one can literally be left out or rather left behind if he does not wake up to this reality.

It is pretty obvious that many don’t have jobs because the remote system of work is taking over on-site job roles and only people who have acquired the most needed skills can earn good money just sitting in the comfort of their homes.

As much as it’s important to dive into the tech world and begin earning big, one must decide what he wants to do and develop the needed skills in that field.

When I decided I wanted to go into tech, I did not analyze nor research on what I really wanted. I was just literally trying every and any field I see and that made me waste a lot of time doing nothing but going in circles.

So, to leverage tech you must first do a research on the various career paths available in the tech world and decide which path you want to take.

Secondly, Many people oftentimes won’t have the resources to take up a career in tech but one thing that is popular yet unknown to many is that there are various scholarship platforms and websites such as ALX, Datacamp, Opex Academy, Google Colab, Web 3…to learn.

Thirdly, while learning, take up volunteering roles to solidify your skills. Volunteering can be very enlightening for a career path. Not only do you gain work experiences but also a network of brilliant people who can be of immense help in your career.

Fourthly, join communities, groups and hubs that talk about what you are learning. Attend seminars, subscribe to newsletters, YouTube channels that will aid your career development.

Lastly, note that many companies are usually skeptical about employing people with no experience, so you can take up internships with companies to build your CV while applying for jobs.

Also, be reminded you will need time, resilience, commitment and determination to grow in the tech world and leverage the opportunities it brings.
